Antiques Fair in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is known to us as the “Little Venice of Provence” because of the many water canals running through the town. But most people remember it also for is its amazing concentration of antique-dealers -over 300 of them, settled in the old textile and paper manufactures-, open every weekend and Monday.

If there is one day in the week to go and visit them, make it Sunday morning –when the weekly outdoor provençal market is also on.

If there is one weekend in the year to pick, make it Easter: the Easter Antiques Fair has become the ultimate rendez-vous for all antique-enthusiasts ever since August 1966. They come from the world over to meet the 500 or so international antique dealers who take over the boulevards, the Sorgue River banks and the parks. You can’t miss them…
