Parcours de l’art
October in Avignon
A fascinating art show which is exhibited throughout the entire city, showing works by some sixty contemporary artists (painting, sculpture, photo, video, installations…). Draws increasing numbers of viewers each year, who follow the “art itinerary” throughout the city of Avignon. Openings, films, conferences, and discussions are also part of the
program. Free entrance to all events.

International Mind Games Tournament
October - November in Avignon
Bridge, Scrabble, Chess, Go, Pyramid, Checkers and other board games… 1500 participants from throughout Europe square off in these different areas, playing over several days. Each federation offers free initiations to their games, and holds special events. This vastly popular game festival draws members of the federations but also holds tournaments which are open to the public at large.
